IMB Partners has acquired Strategic Land Services, an Oakwood, Georgia-based heavy civil contractor focused on electric utility projects, according to PE Hub. Financial terms were not disclosed, leaving the transaction value and financing structure unreported.
Strategic Land Services, also known as SLS, provides site preparation and infrastructure services for electric utility work, PE Hub reported. The company was founded in 1998, and Randall Humphrey serves as president.
Utility infrastructure focus
Heavy civil contractors perform the physical site and infrastructure work needed to support large construction and maintenance projects. In SLS’s case, PE Hub reported that the company carries out civil work required for electric grid expansion and maintenance.
The deal gives IMB Partners an investment in a contractor tied to utility infrastructure services. PE Hub did not report the seller, advisers, closing date, employee count, customer base or geographic operating footprint beyond SLS’s base in Oakwood, Georgia.
The absence of disclosed pricing means the transaction cannot be assessed from the reported information against revenue, earnings, backlog or comparable deal metrics. PE Hub also did not report whether existing management will retain a stake or whether Randall Humphrey’s role as president will change after the acquisition.
What was disclosed
PE Hub identified the buyer as IMB Partners and the target as Strategic Land Services. The disclosed details were limited to SLS’s sector, location, founding year, leadership and work supporting electric grid expansion and maintenance.
No additional operating or financial data were reported. As a result, the available record describes a private transaction in the utility services contracting market without enough information to determine valuation, scale or expected financial impact.
