Marco Sealing Solutions, a portfolio company of Align Capital Partners, has acquired Rocket Seals Inc., a Denver-based distributor of O-rings and sealing products, PE Hub reported. The deal is the ninth acquisition completed by Marco since it partnered with ACP, according to PE Hub.

Rocket Seals supplies products used by maintenance, repair and operations customers as well as original equipment manufacturers. Its end markets include fluid power, aerospace, oil and gas, medical equipment, food and beverage, water treatment and heavy equipment, according to PE Hub.

Marco provides specialty components made from rubber, plastic and metal. The acquisition adds a long-established industrial products supplier to its platform, with Rocket Seals having been founded in 1956, PE Hub reported.

Industrial distribution fit

O-rings and related sealing products are small components that can be critical to the operation of equipment that handles pressure, fluids or movement. In industrial supply chains, MRO customers typically buy replacement products to keep installed equipment operating, while OEM customers incorporate components into newly manufactured equipment.

The combination places Rocket Seals within a broader specialty components business backed by a private equity sponsor. ACP’s ownership of Marco gives the company a platform for acquisitions in a fragmented industrial supply sector, where distributors can add product breadth, customer relationships or geographic reach through bolt-on transactions.

PE Hub did not report financial terms for the transaction. It also did not report changes to Rocket Seals’ management, workforce or Denver operations.

ACP platform strategy

Align Capital Partners is the private equity firm behind Marco, according to PE Hub. The latest acquisition count indicates that Marco has used acquisitions repeatedly since the ACP partnership began, although PE Hub did not state when that partnership started.

The transaction adds another industrial and manufacturing asset to private equity-backed consolidation in specialty distribution. For buyers such as Marco, companies serving both MRO and OEM customers can provide exposure to recurring replacement demand and production-linked orders, depending on customer mix and end-market activity.

Rocket Seals’ customer markets, as identified by PE Hub, span cyclical industrial sectors and regulated applications, including aerospace, medical equipment and food and beverage. The company’s product focus on sealing components places it in a niche where technical specifications, availability and supplier relationships can matter to customers buying for equipment uptime or manufacturing programs.

This story draws on original reporting from PE Hub.
