Zeplyn has announced its Schwab Advisor Center integration, extending its Agent Nexus software into account opening and meeting preparation for wealth-management firms. The company reported that early pilots reduced Not-In-Good-Order, or NIGO, submissions by about 80% and saved advisers more than 12 hours a week, figures that point to the productivity stakes of applying agentic AI to administrative work.

The integration, announced on August 12, 2026, lets an adviser request the opening of a Schwab Advisor Services account through Zeplyn. The system draws on information held in meeting records, emails, customer relationship management systems and documents, then starts Schwab's digital workflow and fills in relevant fields. It returns a completed draft for human review and submission.

That division of tasks is material for firms considering automation in client onboarding. The documented workflow stops at a draft pending adviser action. Schwab says its digital-onboarding process can then share an application with a client for electronic approval.

How does the Zeplyn Schwab account-opening workflow work?

Agentic AI refers here to software that can assemble information from connected systems and carry out a sequence of defined work steps, rather than only producing an answer or summary. In the Zeplyn Schwab account-opening workflow, the agent collects available client details and prepares the digital account-opening draft within the Schwab process.

Zeplyn describes account opening and preparation for adviser meetings as workflows in which staff may move among client meetings, CRM records, documents, planning software and custodian platforms before taking action. Its approach is intended to bring those inputs into one execution flow, while retaining review and submission by a person.

The second part of the integration places live Schwab holdings and transaction data into Zeplyn's client briefs. That gives advisers preparing for meetings a current account-data layer alongside information the software has collected from the firm's other systems.

What do the pilot figures indicate?

The reported 80% decline in NIGO submissions and weekly time savings of more than 12 hours are early-pilot results cited by Zeplyn, rather than established results for all users. Still, the measures identify two operational pressure points for registered investment advisers: rework in account setup and the time spent assembling a client view before a meeting.

The announcement's assertion that this is the first agentic account-opening workflow in wealth management remains Zeplyn's claim. Digital account opening through Schwab-connected technology predates this launch. T3 Technology Hub reported in October 2025 that Advyzon used Schwab's Digital Onboarding API to pass prepared account openings, using CRM data, into Schwab Advisor Center for validation, client review and electronic authorization. The available material does not establish whether that earlier workflow used the same AI-agent approach.

For RIAs, the development illustrates where AI tools are being directed: not only toward notes and research, but toward high-friction operating processes that combine data gathering, form preparation, supervisory review and client approval.
