Summit Professional Education, a continuing education provider backed by Avathon Capital, has acquired Kids Bowel & Bladder, PE Hub reported. The deal brings a pediatric pelvic health education organization into a Summit platform that offers more than 1,500 courses nationwide through a network of more than 100 instructors, according to PE Hub.
Financial terms were not included in PE Hub’s report. The buyer, Summit Professional Education, was founded in 2004, PE Hub said.
Pelvic health training expands within Summit
Kids Bowel & Bladder provides continuing education with a focus on pediatric pelvic health, according to PE Hub. That specialty sits within a broader area of clinical education tied to pelvic rehabilitation, a field Summit has already addressed through prior M&A.
PE Hub reported that Summit acquired Herman & Wallace in 2025. Herman & Wallace is a professional education institute focused on pelvic rehabilitation, according to the same report.
The latest acquisition therefore places Kids Bowel & Bladder alongside a recently acquired pelvic rehabilitation education provider within the same Avathon-backed platform. PE Hub did not provide details on integration plans, management changes or the seller.
Private equity-backed education platform
Avathon Capital backs Summit Professional Education, PE Hub reported. The transaction is an example of a private equity-backed education company adding a specialized provider to an existing professional training platform.
Continuing education businesses typically serve professionals who need additional instruction, certifications or skills development in their fields. In Summit’s case, PE Hub said the company operates nationally and delivers more than 1,500 courses through its instructor network.
The report did not specify whether Kids Bowel & Bladder’s courses will be folded into Summit’s broader catalogue, retain a separate identity or be sold through existing Summit channels. It also did not identify the date of closing beyond reporting that the acquisition had occurred.
For Avathon-backed Summit, the disclosed facts point to a continued focus on specialist healthcare education, particularly pelvic health-related instruction. The company’s acquisition of Herman & Wallace earlier in 2025 and its purchase of Kids Bowel & Bladder both involve professional education providers serving health-focused audiences, according to PE Hub.
No financing details, revenue figures or valuation metrics were reported. PE Hub also did not report any comments from Avathon Capital, Summit Professional Education, Kids Bowel & Bladder or Herman & Wallace.
