Trump Media & Technology Group plans to sell licensed, real-time access to posts from prominent Truth Social accounts through a new business data product aimed at traders. The company said Truth API will provide a live feed of posts from what it called the platform’s “highest-ranking” accounts, creating a commercial channel for information that can move markets within milliseconds.

TMTG described Truth API as a business-to-business data feed. In market infrastructure terms, such a feed gives paying clients direct machine-readable access to content, rather than requiring users to view posts through a consumer application or website. For high-frequency trading firms, the value lies in reducing the time between the publication of information and its incorporation into trading systems.

The company said the service is intended for firms that depend on rapid access to market-relevant data. Finextra reported that the feed could include posts by President Donald Trump, whose comments on Truth Social have regularly drawn attention from market participants.

Truth Social was created after Trump was barred from other major social media platforms following the 6 January Capitol riot. Since then, his posts on the platform have at times been watched by investors for signals on policy, geopolitical risk and trade-sensitive issues.

Recent posts by Trump about the Iran war have affected market sentiment, according to Finextra, with comments claiming ceasefires or escalations contributing to concern over oil prices. Energy markets can react quickly to perceived changes in conflict risk because disruption fears affect expectations for supply, shipping routes and inventories.

Kevin McGurn, interim chief executive of TMTG, said in the company’s statement that market participants were already responding to activity on the platform. “Markets already move on Truth Social posts,” McGurn said. “Truth API delivers a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving Truths while advancing our strategy to monetise proprietary assets through a high-margin, recurring revenue stream.”

The planned product places Truth Social content in the same broad category as other alternative data feeds used by algorithmic traders, where speed, licensing and reliability can determine whether information is usable in automated strategies. A direct feed can also formalise access to platform data by setting commercial terms for redistribution and use.

TMTG did not disclose pricing, launch timing or a list of accounts covered by the product in the statement cited by Finextra. The company framed the service as part of a strategy to turn platform data into recurring revenue, while giving licensed clients faster access to posts that they may regard as market-sensitive.
