Athena Capital has added Karim Bousta as an investment partner and named Francesca Cornelli to its council of operating partners, PE Hub reported.

Athena Capital appoints Karim Bousta as investment partner

Athena Capital has appointed Karim Bousta as an investment partner, according to PE Hub. The firm also named Francesca Cornelli to the Athena Council of operating partners.

Bousta is a co-founder and managing partner of DVx Ventures, PE Hub reported. He previously served as chief executive and board member of Getaround.

The appointment adds a senior investment professional with company leadership experience to Athena Capital’s investment ranks. PE Hub did not report further details on Bousta’s mandate, the timing of the appointment or any associated fund strategy.

Cornelli joins the Athena Council of operating partners, according to PE Hub. She is dean of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Operating partner councils are commonly used by investment firms to bring external sector, management or functional expertise into portfolio work and investment assessment. PE Hub did not report additional details on Cornelli’s role on the council.
