Greenbelt Capital Management has made a majority investment in Bowe & Gant Electrical Services, PE Hub reported. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction, leaving the purchase price, valuation and capital structure outside the public record.
Bowe & Gant is based in New Jersey and provides electrical and energy infrastructure services, according to PE Hub. The company was founded in 2014. Vincent Bowe is its co-founder and chief executive.
PE Hub reported that Bowe & Gant’s co-founders will remain in their operating roles after the transaction. They will also keep a meaningful ownership position in the company alongside Greenbelt.
A majority investment generally means the incoming investor acquires more than half of the company’s equity or voting control. That structure usually gives the investor the ability to influence board composition, capital allocation and acquisition strategy, while allowing existing managers to continue running day-to-day operations when they retain stakes and leadership roles.
The retained equity component aligns the founders’ future returns with the company’s performance under Greenbelt’s ownership. Such arrangements are common in private equity-backed services businesses, where investors often seek continuity from incumbent executives while providing capital and governance support for expansion.
The deal adds to investor activity in electrical and energy infrastructure services, a field tied to construction, grid investment, electrification and maintenance demand. PE Hub did not report additional details on Greenbelt’s growth plans for Bowe & Gant, any financing used in the transaction or whether the company intends to pursue acquisitions.
Greenbelt Capital Management is the buyer named in the transaction report. No further information was disclosed on closing timing, advisers or the size of the stake retained by Bowe & Gant’s co-founders.
