Nordic Capital has agreed to sell ArisGlobal, a Waltham, Massachusetts-based software provider serving the life sciences industry, to Dassault Systèmes. The transaction is expected to complete in the second half of 2026, according to Nordic Capital.

ArisGlobal supplies software to customers across the life sciences sector. Its client base includes pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies and regulatory authorities, according to the company information cited by Nordic Capital.

The deal would mark an exit for Nordic Capital after an investment period that began in 2019. The firm made an additional investment in ArisGlobal in 2021.

Private equity exit from life sciences software

Nordic Capital said it first backed ArisGlobal because of the company’s operating fundamentals, its established client base and the potential to update its technology while expanding its commercial reach.

Daniel Berglund, partner and head of healthcare at Nordic Capital Advisors, said the firm had worked with ArisGlobal’s management to support its shift into a cloud-native platform for life sciences customers, with AI-enabled capabilities and a stronger market position.

“Nordic Capital is proud of what has been achieved together with management and looks forward to seeing the company continue to grow under Dassault Systèmes ownership,” Berglund said.

The structure described by Nordic Capital is a sale by a financial sponsor to a strategic buyer. In such transactions, the private equity owner sells its stake to an acquiring company, with ownership transferring at closing subject to the terms of the agreement. Nordic Capital did not disclose a transaction value in the announcement cited by PE Hub.

Advisers and company background

Evercore and Jefferies LLC acted as financial advisers to ArisGlobal on the sale, according to Nordic Capital. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal adviser to ArisGlobal.

ArisGlobal was founded in 1989. The company is based in Waltham and focuses on software for life sciences users, including drugmakers, biotechnology companies and authorities involved in regulation.

The sale adds to private equity activity around healthcare technology assets, where software platforms serving regulated industries can attract buyers seeking established customer relationships and sector-specific product capabilities. Nordic Capital attributed ArisGlobal’s development during its ownership to technology modernisation, commercial expansion and the addition of AI-enabled functions.
