Vybe Urgent Care has acquired two Liberty Urgent Care centers in Pennsylvania, a Vybe Liberty Urgent Care deal that increases the NewSpring Capital Partners-backed operator’s network from 16 to 18 locations. The transaction adds sites in Horsham and Hatfield, with financial terms not disclosed, according to PE Hub.

The acquisition strengthens Vybe’s presence in the greater Philadelphia market, where the company operates urgent care centers. Peter Hotz, Vybe’s president and chief executive, said in a statement that the company was welcoming Liberty Urgent Care’s staff and patients as it expands in Montgomery County.

Vybe said the expansion was supported by a recent growth-oriented debt financing completed with Live Oak Bank. Hotz said Vybe appreciated Live Oak Bank’s confidence as the lender supports the company’s growth.

What did Vybe Urgent Care buy?

Vybe bought Liberty Urgent Care’s centers in Horsham and Hatfield, Pennsylvania. The deal gives Vybe two additional centers and brings Liberty’s local operations into a larger urgent care platform serving the Philadelphia area.

Urgent care clinics typically treat non-emergency medical needs outside hospital emergency departments, often serving patients who need same-day care for illnesses, injuries, testing or occupational health services. For operators, acquiring existing clinics can add patient volume, staff and local market access more quickly than opening new sites from scratch.

How the financing fits the deal

PE Hub reported that Vybe’s expansion was supported by growth-oriented debt financing with Live Oak Bank. In this kind of financing, a company borrows capital intended to help fund expansion while leaving ownership structure separate from the loan; the borrower remains responsible for repaying the debt under the lender’s terms.

No amount, maturity, interest rate or other loan terms were disclosed. The parties also did not disclose a purchase price for the Liberty centers.

Leadership changes after the acquisition

Dr. Erik Soiferman, Liberty Urgent Care’s founder and president, will join Vybe as vice president of occupational medicine services. Liberty Urgent Care was founded in 2016, according to PE Hub.

The move adds a specialty leadership role tied to occupational medicine, a part of urgent care that can include services for employers and workers. The specific services Dr. Soiferman will oversee at Vybe were not detailed in the announcement.

NewSpring Capital Partners backs Vybe Urgent Care. The deal places Vybe among healthcare platforms using acquisitions to add regional density, with the latest purchase focused on two Pennsylvania sites rather than a broader multi-state expansion.
