Apax Partners has agreed to acquire techoraco and Institutional Investor from Delinian in two separate transactions, the companies said in a joint announcement reported by PE Hub. Delinian is backed by Epiris, and its remaining portfolio will comprise Altrata, BCA and NDR after the deals close, according to the announcement.
The transactions would move two specialist information and relationship platforms into Apax ownership. The announcement did not put the businesses in the same market: techoraco serves the digital infrastructure sector, while Institutional Investor focuses on links between asset managers and institutional allocators.
Two distinct businesses
Techoraco convenes senior decision-makers across connectivity, data centers, cloud and compute, and energy in the digital infrastructure market, according to the companies. Those areas sit at the intersection of communications infrastructure, computing capacity and power supply, a combination that has become central to corporate technology planning and institutional infrastructure strategies.
Institutional Investor connects asset managers with institutional allocators through a platform built over more than 50 years, the announcement said. In that model, the platform acts as an intermediary network between managers seeking to reach pools of institutional capital and allocators evaluating managers and investment strategies.
The companies described the acquisitions as two separate transactions. That structure means Apax is buying each business through a distinct deal process rather than through a single combined purchase of the Delinian assets identified in the announcement.
Delinian portfolio to narrow
Once the transactions are completed, Delinian’s portfolio will consist of Altrata, BCA and NDR, according to the companies. The announcement did not describe those remaining businesses in the accessible statement, and it did not provide further detail on Delinian’s plans for the portfolio after completion.
Epiris is identified as Delinian’s backer in the announcement. The sale of techoraco and Institutional Investor would therefore represent a portfolio reshaping by an Epiris-backed company, with Apax taking ownership of two businesses serving financial and digital infrastructure audiences.
The announcement did not disclose financial terms, closing conditions or a timetable in the accessible details reported by PE Hub. It also did not specify whether management teams, brands or operating structures will change after the transactions close.
For market participants, the immediate significance is the transfer of established sector platforms rather than a disclosed valuation benchmark. The deal gives Apax agreed acquisitions in two relationship-led information markets: digital infrastructure convening through techoraco and institutional asset-management connectivity through Institutional Investor.
