Bain Capital has agreed to acquire SupplyOn, a European platform for supply-chain collaboration, PE Hub reported. The transaction will move the company from shareholders AUMOVIO, Bosch, Schaeffler and ZF to the private investment firm.
No transaction value was included in PE Hub’s report. The deal adds to Bain Capital’s recent activity in European technology and industrials, according to PE Hub.
SupplyOn operates in a segment that has drawn investor attention as manufacturers and industrial groups seek more digital coordination across suppliers, customers and production networks. PE Hub described the company as a supply-chain collaboration platform, a category focused on connecting counterparties that need to exchange operational information across complex procurement and manufacturing systems.
Under the planned ownership change, Bain Capital intends to expand SupplyOn’s artificial intelligence capabilities and increase sales and marketing efforts, PE Hub reported. For a software or platform business, those levers typically relate to product development and commercial reach, although PE Hub did not provide details on specific AI functions or spending plans.
The sellers named by PE Hub are AUMOVIO, Bosch, Schaeffler and ZF. Each is listed as an outgoing shareholder in the transaction. PE Hub did not report any additional selling shareholders, management changes or closing conditions.
The acquisition places SupplyOn within Bain Capital’s European technology and industrials portfolio activity, PE Hub reported. For private equity firms, acquisitions of software-enabled industrial platforms can combine operational exposure to manufacturing supply chains with recurring demand for digital systems, though the report did not disclose SupplyOn’s revenue, profitability or customer base.
