Caltius Equity Partners has made an investment in SaaS Consulting Group, according to PE Hub, adding private equity backing to a Texas technology services provider focused on mid-market business transformation work. The company, based in West Lake Hills, has worked with more than 250 companies and more than 60 private equity sponsors, PE Hub reported.

SaaS Consulting Group, also known as SCG, provides business transformation services to mid-market organisations. The company was founded in 2011, according to PE Hub.

PE Hub also reported that Chris Holbert has been appointed chief executive officer of SCG. No further details on Holbert’s appointment were included in the report.

The report did not specify the size of Caltius Equity Partners’ investment, the valuation of SCG, the ownership stake acquired or whether the transaction used debt financing. Without those details, the transaction cannot be classified from the reported information as a minority growth investment, a control buyout or another structure.

Caltius Equity Partners is identified by PE Hub as the investor in the transaction. The investment places SCG within the set of technology and business services companies drawing private capital interest, particularly where providers work with mid-market businesses and private equity-backed companies.

For private equity sponsors, consulting and technology services providers can play a role in post-acquisition operating programmes, including system changes and broader business transformation projects. PE Hub’s reported figures indicate that SCG has already served a client base spanning corporate customers and financial sponsors.

No additional advisers, closing date or management ownership details were reported by PE Hub.
