Phoenix Equity Partners has invested in Squarcle, a UK consultancy focused on supply-chain, procurement and data services for highly regulated markets, PE Hub reported. The deal is the twelfth investment from Phoenix’s current flagship fund, according to PE Hub, extending the firm’s exposure to consulting-led business services.

Squarcle provides advisory and data capabilities to clients operating in sectors where regulation affects procurement, logistics and operational decision-making, PE Hub reported. The company’s technology includes PULSE, described by PE Hub as a proprietary control tower platform.

A control tower platform in supply-chain operations is designed to bring operational information into a single system for monitoring and management. PE Hub did not provide financial terms, the size of Phoenix’s stake or any valuation for the transaction.

The investment places Squarcle alongside other consulting businesses previously backed by Phoenix. PE Hub said the transaction builds on Phoenix’s earlier investments in AVA and Logiq, both identified as consulting firms.

For private equity investors, consulting and data services can offer exposure to recurring demand from companies seeking outside expertise in complex operating areas. In Squarcle’s case, PE Hub identified the company’s focus as supply chain, procurement and data services, with an emphasis on regulated markets.

Phoenix’s latest deal also indicates continued deployment from its current flagship vehicle. PE Hub reported that Squarcle represents the fund’s twelfth investment, a marker of portfolio construction rather than a disclosure of fund size or remaining capital.

No management changes, financing partners or completion timetable were included in PE Hub’s report. The available details identify the buyer, the target company, the sector focus and the investment’s place within Phoenix’s current fund activity.
