LaunchPad Home Group, a home-services company backed by RFE Investment Partners, has acquired Key Inspection Services, PE Hub reported. The deal gives LaunchPad a presence in the Pacific Northwest through a business serving the Seattle metropolitan area and nearby communities in Washington.

Key Inspection Services is a residential inspection company founded by Brandon Brockway-Ring. PE Hub reported that Brockway-Ring will remain with the business and lead Key Inspection Services as vice president of operations under LaunchPad.

The acquisition marks LaunchPad’s entry into the Pacific Northwest, according to PE Hub. For a private equity-backed platform, an add-on acquisition can extend coverage by bringing a local operating business, customer relationships and management team under the buyer’s ownership.

PE Hub did not report the transaction value or financing details. It also did not provide additional information on RFE Investment Partners’ ownership stake in LaunchPad or the expected integration timetable.

RFE Investment Partners is the financial sponsor behind LaunchPad Home Group, according to PE Hub. The acquisition adds a Washington-based inspection operator to LaunchPad’s business while keeping Key Inspection Services’ founder in an operating role.

This story draws on original reporting from PE Hub.
